Ramona Lorraine Gee, the daughter of the late Raymond and Loura Tanner Hohlt, was born in Bernie on Sept. 9, 1934, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the age of 70.
Mrs. Gee had lived in St. Louis for many years and moved to Dexter three years ago. She had worked as a waitress at several bowling alleys in St. Louis before retiring and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bernie.
Surviving are three sons: Rick Beller of St. Louis, Kevin Quirke of San Francisco, Calif., and Shane Gee of St. Charles; three daughters: Vicki Gordon of Bernie, Kathy Abelson of Dexter, and Kim Setser of Imperial; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one half-brother, Raymond Hohlt of Millstadt, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: one in infancy and Jimmy Hohlt; and two sisters, Vivian and Wiletta Hohlt.
Visitation was held after 9 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2005, in the Bernie Cemetery with Bro. Stan Dauck of Bernie officiating.
Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
