James E. Ross

James E. Ross, the son of the late Edgar and Adelia Brennecke Ross, was born in Parma on Nov. 13, 1929, and died at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia on Saturday, May 19, 2005, at the age of 75.

Mr. Ross was retired from the Tribune as a printer. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church and an avid book reader.

On July 1, 1959, he was married to Louise Greene in Parma.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Ross of Columbia; three sons, James Timothy Ross of Columbia, Edward Anthony Ross of Grovespring, and Daniel Alan Ross of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Albert Ross of Portageville; two sisters, Dorothy Ahman of Bakersfield, Calif., and Catherine Kelso of Doniphan; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, Raymond, Bill and Sam Ross; and one sister, Ella Marie Cole.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005, in the Parma Cemetery.

Interment will follow in the Parma Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
