Dorothy L. Fowler, 84, of Advance was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Bell City, daughter of John and Carrie Reutzel Lockhart, and died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Crowley Ridge Healthcare in Dexter.

She was a member of People's Church in Advance.

On Sept. 13, 1941, Dorothy and Donel Fowler were united in marriage at Jackson, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2000.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Rhodes of Dexter and Donna Fowler of Pinson, Ala.; a brother, Paul Lockhart of Dexter; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters.

Visitation was held from 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Interment followed in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
