Wilda Mae Menley, the daughter of the late Jess H. and Alie Eagan Horn, was born in Strawberry, Ark., on July 4, 1931 and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on June 17, 2005 at the age of 73.
Mrs. Menley had lived in Bloomfield since 1954 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Bloomfield.
On March 3, 1954 she was married to Arvel N. Menley in New Madrid.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Evelyn Boyt, Cathy Smith, and Joan Espada, all of Dexter; Wilma Rogers, of Sikeston; one son, Glennon Menley, of Lebanon; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; four brothers, John Horn of Bloomfield, Jess and Bob Horn, both of Dexter, and Terry Gene Horn, of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Verneal Durbin and Nina Williamson, both of Bloomfield, Shirley Smith, of Boise, Idaho, and Nadene Teeters, of Circle City. Other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patty Thomason; one sister Lana Spencer, and one brother Herman Horn.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held today, June 19, 2005 at 1:30 p.m., in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Bro. Dale Grissom, of Dexter officiating.
