William Eisenhart, son of the late William Eisenhart and Marie Meyer Eisenhart, was born Aug. 17, 1920, in St. Louis and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at the age of 84.
Mr. Eisenhart was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dexter and the former maintenance superintendent for the University City School District in St. Louis. He had lived his entire life in the St. Louis area until moving to Dexter upon his retirement in 1982. He was an avid golfer.
He was united in marriage to Miza Stroup Acord on Nov. 17, 1945, at St. Charles. Mrs. Eisenhart preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 2002.
Survivors include one step-son, Robert H. Acord of St. Louis; one step-daughter, Nancy Webb of Dexter; one brother, Donald Eisenhart of St. Louis; five step-grandchildren, Susan Hill of Dexter, Laura Kinder, Beth Reimer and Nancy Acord, all of St. Louis, and Barbara Haefner of Matthews, N.C.; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Eisenhart of Osage Beach.
Visitation was held from noon - 2 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Leist and Pastor Roy Sherfield officiating.
Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Dexter.
