Gladys Nadine Shafer, daughter of the late Orville Duley and Ruth Schaffer Duley, was born on Oct. 20, 1927, at Malden and died in the Laclede Grove Nursing Center at Webster Groves on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the age of 77.

Mrs. Shafer was a former resident of the Dexter area and had been residing in St. Louis for the past few years.

Survivors include two sisters, Rosetta Lambert of LeMay and Joyce Jones of Granite City, Ill.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Shafer and Jimmy Duley; and one sister, Lois Duley.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery.
