Mary Jo Prater, daughter of the late Noah Richard Garner and Manerva Riddle Garner, was born on Sept. 18, 1922, and died in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Monday, June 27, 2005, at the age of 82.

Mrs. Prater was a former employee of R.L. Polk Advertising Company, a former resident of Stoddard County and a resident of Southgate, Mich.

She was united in marriage to Fayette Parsons "Poss" Prater on July 18, 1941, at Clay County, Ark. Mr. Prater preceded her in death on March 18, 1981.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005.

Graveside services will be then conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at the Essex Cemetery with Harold Christian officiating.
