Glen B. Prater, 95, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Flint, Mich., where she had resided since 1980. Mrs. Prater was born Dec. 6, 1909, in Essex where she lived for many of her years.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Essex Cemetery where she will be interred. Doyle Corlew will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Essex Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Prater is survived by her nephew, Donald L. (Geraldine) Reed of Murray, Ky., and her niece, Leora Szuch of Swartz Creek, Mich. Also surviving are 10 great-nieces and nephews; 12 great-great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Prater; parents, John L. Reed and Thyrsia Reed; her brothers, John L. Reed and Donald E. Reed; and niece Johan Smith.
