Lowanda Louis Gremard, daughter of the late Oscar Clearance and Minnie Jane Taylor Young, was born on September 21, 1924 in Wardell and died Friday, July 1, 2005 at Southeast Memorial Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Gremard was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and was a former member of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston.

On September 15, 1941, she married Ralph W. Gremard in Caruthersville. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Gremard of Cape Girardeau and Bruce Gremard, of Dexter; two daughters, Deloris Wood, of Dallas, Ga., and Robin Gremard, of Sikeston; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granchildren also survive.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Bellamy, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2005 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nunnelee funeral Chapel. Services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Marlyn (Bud) Schott, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, and assisted by Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Portageville Cemetery in Portageville.
