Zulema Fulkerson

Zulema Fulkerson, daughter of the late Irving Harrington and Ella Bryant Harrington, was born on Feb. 4, 1922, at Conway County, Ark., and died in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital at St. Louis on Monday, July 4, 2005, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Fulkerson was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau, a former employee of the Army Corp of Engineers Personnel Department in St. Louis, retiring in 1974, a member of the Wally Byrum Caravan Club and a resident of Cape Girardeau.

She was united in marriage to Glenn Dallas Fulkerson on Aug. 28, 1942, at Charleston. Mr. Fulkerson survives of the home in Cape Girardeau.

Besides her husband, survivors include one son, Glenn Michael Fulkerson of Kewadin, Mich.; two brothers, Ben Harrington of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Bobby Bryant of San Ramon, Calif.; and one granddaughter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Harrington.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
