Dale Pixley, son of Bernard Pixley of Dexter and the late Mary Beckham Pixley, was born Aug. 19, 1939, at Dexter and died in his residence near Dexter on Monday, July 11, 2005, at the age of 65.
Mr. Pixley had been in autobody repair for most of his life, a former member of the National Guard and a lifelong resident of Dexter.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Bernard and Eunice Pixley of Dexter; six sons, Arlen Pixley of New Madrid, Dale Ray Pixley 2nd, Garett Pixley, Tony Pixley, Aaron Pixley and Adam Pixley, all of Dexter; 10 daughters, Mary Cooper of Turner, Mich., Dana Fulbright of Marble Hill, Tina Whitehead, Sara Chubb and Audry Pixley, all of Zalma, Lela Wiseman, Lana Whitley, Anna Pixley and Vicky Pixley, all of Advance, and Carrie McAllister of Cape Girardeau; 41 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; by loving companion, Marilyn Kaye Scroggins and her children, Billy Scroggins of Dexter and Jessica Rizo of Dexter.
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Andy Pixley; one daughter, Paula LaRay, who died at birth; and one brother, Jimmie (Bo) Pixley.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
