Billy Shafer, son of Frankie Sego Shafer and the late Robert Shafer, was born in South Bend, Ind., on Dec. 7, 1960, and died at his residence in Parma on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the age of 44.

Mr. Shafer had lived in Parma for the past 11 years. He was a former resident of Malden and South Bend, Ind.

On Oct. 24, 1988, he was married to Lisa Horton in Malden.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa Shafer of Parma; one son, William Shafer II of Parma; two daughters, Sarah Cook of Malden and Ashley Ozbun of Parma; one grandchild; and two sisters, Judy Pedigo of Dexter and Mary Case of Waterloo, Ala.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Shafer.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to time of services on Friday, July 15, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma with the Rev. Sonny Burgess of Campbell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Parma Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
