Velma Pattillo
Velma Pattillo, daughter of the late J.W. Westmorlan and Lena Moody Westmorlan, was born Aug. 17, 1915, in Dunklin County and died in the Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at Farmington on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Pattillo was a homemaker, a member of the Sunnyview Church of Christ at Farmington, a former member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a former resident of Dexter, currently residing in Farmington since 1991.

She was united in marriage to Thurlo Herbert Pattillo on Nov. 7, 1933, at Kennett. Mr. Pattillo preceded her in death on June 20, 1991.

Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Cole of Farmington; one sister, Aline Craig of Kennett; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Westmorlan, Lee Westmorlan, and Curt Westmorlan; and one sister, Gladys Benfield.

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the AmHeart Hospice in Farmington or to the Sunnyview Church of Christ in Farmington.
