Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Lone Oak General Baptist Church near Malden, a homemaker, and a resident of Bernie.
She was united in marriage to Marcus Lafayette Cooper on April 24, 1932, at Bernie. Mr. Cooper preceded her in death on March 1, 1973.
Survivors include five sons, Elmer Eugene Cooper of Spanaway, Wash., Jimmy Ray Cooper of Bernie, Jackie Lee Cooper of St. Louis, Kenneth D. Cooper and Steven Cooper, both of Dexter; one daughter, Jo Ann Bowman of Bernie; one brother, Byrdie Moore of Bozeman, Mont.; one sister, Jettie Holland of Fayetteville, Ark; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Marcus D. Cooper; and two sisters, Lizzie Brown and Lena Moore.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Biggs and Rev. Don Cooper officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
