Margaret Pritchard

Margaret Pritchard, daughter of the late Augustus Grier and Ida Coleman Grier, was born on June 6, 1918, at Buford, Ga., and died in the Mulberry Manor at Dexter on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at the age of 87.

Mrs. Pritchard was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter, was the former nurse to Dr. Harold Poe in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to John A. (Jack) Pritchard on Dec. 14, 1941, at Willow Springs. Mr. Pritchard preceded her in death on June 17, 1980.

Survivors include two daughters, Randa Crafton of Las Vegas, Nev., and Nona Robinson of Dexter; one sister, Ethel Kimbrel of Vero Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jack Thornton, Beth Norton and Ellen Stablein; four great-grandchildren, Sarah Norton, Rachel Norton, Andy Stablein and Jacob Stablein.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Paul Pritchard; four brothers, Walter Grier, Kenneth Grier, Harold Grier, and Joe Grier.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter.
