Peggy Day

Peggy Day, 79, of Columbia died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at her home.

She was born April 9, 1926, in Puxico, the daughter of Orbay A. and Priscilla V. Thrower. On Aug. 29, 1948, she married C. LeRoy Day in Dexter, and he survives.

Peggy graduated from Dexter High School and attended Culver Stockton College in Canton. After raising her sons, she worked as a real estate loan officer and in real estate sales.

Other survivors include a sister, Betty Poling of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Stanley Kingsley Day of Evanston, Ill., and Thomas LeRoy Day of Bellingham, Wash.; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, at the Fairview Road Church of Christ in Columbia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. with interment following in Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.
