Margaret Garner, daughter of the late Fred Temples and Christa Haynes Temples, was born on April 14, 1913, at Dexter and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at the age of 92.

Mrs. Garner was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Milton Garner on Feb. 9, 1941, at St. Louis. Mr. Garner preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2000.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Judith Garner of Dexter; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dennis Garner of Burton, Mich.; one brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Ruth Temples of Puxico; three grandchildren and spouses, Bryan and Crystal Garner of Dexter, Emily and Bobby Mooy of Swinton, Matthew and Crystal Garner of Dexter; three special nieces, Kathy Scott, Michelle Thomason, and Debbie Mueller; eight great-grandchildren; and several nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Temples; and two sisters, Lorene Cox and Alene Flemming.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, in the Dexter Church of Christ with Don Bahr and Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment followed in the Armstead Dowdy Cemetery near Dexter.

Memorials may be made to the Stoddard County Children's Home or to the Children's Home of Paragould, Ark.
