Mrs. Rhoades was a former custodian at Furguson, Florissant R#2 School District, a member of First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.
On Aug. 26, 1938, she was united in marriage to James Howard Rhoades at Scotland, Ark. Mr. Rhoades survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides her husband, James Rhoades of Dexter, other survivors include one daughter, Sherry Duncan of Dexter; one sister, Gertrude Langford of Visalia, Calif.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rhoades was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Guy Frazier and Palmer Frazier; and also one sister, Goldie Ahrens.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
