Doris Thomas

Doris Marie Thomas, the daughter of the late Harvey and Mabel Darr Green, was born near Bloomfield on July 3, 1940, and died at her home in Dexter on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at the age of 65.

She had moved to Las Vegas, Nev., many years ago where she worked and retired from Caesar's Palace as a change maker. She returned to Bloomfield in 1994 and had moved to Dexter a few months ago. She was attending the Bloomfield Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are one brother, Kenneth Green of Dudley, four sisters, Joyce Fleetwood of Henderson, Nev., Shelby Monroe of Bloomfield, Judy DeMarsh of Chaffee, and Lois Holden of Dexter.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Green.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield officiating.

Private interment services will follow at a later date.

Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
