Gerald "Jerry" Gregory, son of Margaret Frensko of Benld, Ill., and the late Lester Gregory, was born on Jan. 8, 1948, in St. Louis and died in his residence at Dexter on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005, at the age of 57.
Mr. Gregory attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, was a cement finisher, a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War and a resident of Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Sherry Hough on May 22, 1985, at Cape Girardeau. Mrs. Gregory survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife and mother, survivors include one daughter, Lorie Lynn Gregory of Texas; two step-sons, William Hough, Jr. of Romeoville, Ill., and Joe Craven of Woodstock, Ill.; three step-daughters, Lois Hough of Oklahoma City, Okla., Kellie Sue Jacobson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lorie Lynn Peck of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral mass will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 25, 2005, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Benld, Ill., with Monsignor Auda officiating.
Interment will follow in the Benld Cemetery at Benld, Ill.
