He had lived in Dudley since he was 16 years old. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dexter. He was a self-employed fish farmer.
On Jan. 3, 1969, he was married to Donna Gant in Dudley.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Barker of Dudley; one daughter, Janelle Gibson of Seattle, Wash.; one grandson; two brothers, Ralph Barker of Monroe, La., and Jim Barker of Bentonia, Miss.; four sisters, Jean Yates of St. Louis, Frances Stewart of Doniphan, Carolyn Lowery of Illinois, and Betty Barnes of Mt. View.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Father David Dohogne of Dexter officiating.
Interment followed in the Dudley Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
