Glenda Johnson
Glenda Johnson, daughter of the late Albert Oscar and Mattie Delmar Daniel Milton, was born in Dexter on Aug. 27, 1932, and died at her home in Dexter on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at the age of 73.

She had lived in Dexter all her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter. She had been a choir member for many years and had participated in the First Baptist Church Christmas Pageant from 1984-2001. She had worked at Stovall's Dept. Store, the Percy Clippard Insurance Agency, and had worked with her son at the Dairy House of several years.

On Feb. 24, 1951, she was married to Walter H. Johnson in Dexter. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, David Johnson of Dexter and Danny (Nancy) Johnson of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Rebecca Johnson of Jackson, Ashley Johnson of St. Louis, Nicole Duncan and Miranda Johnson, both of Dexter.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter with the Rev. Mike Watkins of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow on Wednesday morning in the Dexter Cemetery. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.watkinsfuneralhome.com.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Hope Lodge in St. Louis.
