Myrtle Driskill

Myrtle "Cedie" Driskill, daughter of the late John Edward Wyatt and Annie Pearl Jones Wyatt, was born on Nov. 12, 1932, at Selmer, Tenn., and departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at the age of 72.

Mrs. Driskill was a former employee of the International Hat Company in Dexter and a resident of Bloomfield.

On May 16, 1956, she was united in marriage to Charles Driskill at Sikeston. He survives of the home at Bloomfield.

Other survivors include two sons, Mike Driskill of Dexter and Charles Driskill of Sikeston; two daughters, Delores Hopkins of Dexter and Mary Sawyer of Byron, Ill.; two sisters, Merlene Whorton of Chaffee and Helen Baccus of Sikeston; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from noon until 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doyle Corlew officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
