Mrs. Buckalew grew up in Missouri and graduated from Bloomfield High School. She made her home in Shreveport, La., and was an active member of her church, the Living Water Worship Center in Stonewall, La. She was married to Samuel Esman Buckalew, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Philip Buckalew of Shreveport, La.; one daughter, Angela Sumner of Shreveport, La.; four brothers, Bill D. Cagle of Poplar Bluff, Henry J. and Charles W. Cagle, both of Bloomfield, and Harold Gene Cagle of Dexter; three sisters, Laverne Fargerson of Shreveport, La., Shirley Douglas of Branson, and Barbara Mayhall of Abilene, Texas; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 2005, at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at West Pleasant Valley Church near Bloomfield with Rev. Mike Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
