She had lived in Southeast Missouri all her life and was a resident of Sikeston at the time of her death. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grayridge.
On Aug. 11, 1970, she was married to Roosevelt Johnson, Sr., at Essex, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1985.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Johnson of Malden, Roosevelt Johnson, Jr., of Lilbourn, and Earnest Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; four daughters, Hazel Johnson , Sandra Johnson, both of Parma, Willa Bell Clark of Portageville, and Alice Combs of Sikeston; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Ralph Porter of Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence Porter; and one sister, Mary Kyle.
Visitation will be held from noon - 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Leroy Williams of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
