Mr. and Mrs. Jay Alan Brueggeman
Miss Amanda Catherine Stuever and Mr. Jay Alan Brueggeman were united in marriage on Saturday, June 25, 2005, at two o'clock in the afternoon. The ceremony, officiated by Father Patrick Gibbons, took place at St. Francis-Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, Ill. The reception and dance were held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jerseyville.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Angie Stuever of Dexter. Maternal grandparents are Jerry and Sue Cooper of Sikeston, and paternal grandparents are the late Herman and Bernice Stuever of Dexter. The bridegroom is the son of Sam and Jane Brueggeman of Shipman, Ill. Maternal grandparents are Janet and Ralph Calame and the late Lester Weller of Jerseyville, Ill., and paternal grandparents are Verna and Nelson Robinson and the late Gene Brueggeman of Shipman, Ill.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Lauren Stuever, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Kristen Hobgood, cousin of the bride, Natasha Kegley, friend of the bride, and Lesley Brueggeman, sister of the bridegroom, attended as bridesmaids.

The best man was the brother of the bridegroom, Barry Brueggeman. Matt Stuever, brother of the bride, Kenny Choat and Mark Guthrie, both friends of the bridegroom, served as groomsmen. Tom Hulbert and Matt Seymour, friends of the bridegroom, seated the wedding guests.

The ringbearer was Ryan Hulshof, and the flower girl was Madison Watson. Vocalist for the ceremony was Katrina Prance. Jeri Stuever, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Altar servers were Emily and Tyler Hulshof. Rebecca Hepperman served as lector. Flowers were designed by Sheila Walker. The wedding cakes were served by Linda Miller, Rhonda Stuever, Judy Hartley and Betty Hobgood, aunts of the bride.

Mark and Stacey Beaver catered the reception dinner. Ellie Miller, cousin of the bride, assisted as the wedding coordinator.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Jamaica. Mr. Brueggeman is a machinist for Gateway Fluid Power in Granite City, Ill. Mrs. Brueggeman is a fifth grade eMINTS teacher at Valley Park Elementary in Valley Park. The couple resides in Brighton, Ill.
