Marvin J. Gough of Flint, Mich., formerly of Dexter, was born in Dexter on Aug. 4, 1922, the son of the late William and Addie Gough and died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at Avalon Hospice.

He was a veteran of World War II. On May 8, 1946, he was united in marriage to Norma Stoker.

Mr. Gough retired in 1976 from Fisher Body in Flint, Mich., after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Norma; three children, Phyllis Anders, Brenda Mentzer, and Barbara Rekowski; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Addie Gough; a brother, Arvel Gough; and a sister, Helen Gough.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at Swartz Funeral Home in Flint, Mich.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Mich., with Pastor Chris Tenneriello officiating.

Interment followed in Smith-Stevenson Cemetery in Dexter.
