Boyce L. McCalmon, 84, of Farmington, died in St. Louis on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005. He was born in Boonville, Miss., on Aug. 13, 1921, to the late Thomas and Josephine Johnson McCalmon.
He was inducted into the United States Army on Nov. 17, 1944. He received his honorable discharge on Nov. 26, 1946.
In Malden on June 21, 1975, he was united in marriage to Marion Gill.
He was a member of the Bloomfield Methodist Church, Dexter Elks Lodge #2439 and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Marion McCalmon of Farmington; two sons, Boyce McCalmon, Jr. and David McCalmon; three daughters, Linda Tuttle, Dallas Fuller, and Tammy Thaxton; one step-son, Gary Tynes; two step-daughters, Terri Patterson and Darlene Thompson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Vera Grady.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Olen McCalmon; and one sister, Francis Hughes.
Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, in the Coplin Funeral Home, 910 Taylor Avenue, Park Hills.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, in the Coplin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike harrison officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
