Ms. Brickhaus was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter where she was a member of the choir and served as church organist, a teacher at T.S. Hill Middle School in Dexter for 28 years, a member of the Friedenburg Lutheran Historical Society, NCTM, MSTA, Alpha Delta Kappa, Secretary of Voter's Assembly, CTA Building Representative, teacher at SEMO and Three Rivers Community College, poet, humorous writer and musician.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret Brickhaus, of Jackson; two brothers, Allen (Kathy) Brickhaus, of Galconda, Ill., and Glen (Marilyn) Brickhaus, of Perryville; by one nephew, James (Michele) Ketten; by two nieces, Sarah and Rachel Brickhaus; by one great-nephew, Aaron Ketten; and one great-niece, Kassi Ketten.
Visitation will be at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2005. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2005 in the Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter with Rev. Adam Mueller and Rev. Michael Mathey co-officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m., Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Perryville.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church Choir or Building Fund, The Center For Family Resources at Malden, or to the Friedenburg Historical Society.
