Mrs. Stephens was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brooksville, a former member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, a home-maker, a former resident of Dexter, currently residing in Brooksville, Fla.
She was united in marriage to Noble Chester Stephens on January 21, 1951 at Lexington, Tenn. Mr. Stephens preceded her in death on August 20, 1980.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia G. Skipper of Brooksville, Fla; three sons, Michael Noble Stephens, of Tallahassee, Fla., Donald Glen Stephens, of Willard, and John Alan Stephens, of Dexter; by one brother, Bobby Ayers, of Lexington, Tenn.; and by eight grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vichy Lynn Stephens and by one sister, Harriett Scott.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2005, Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2005 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Dexter, the First United Methodist Church in Brooksville, Fla., or to the Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville.
