Katherine Cossey, 83, of Morehouse died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born on Feb. 10, 1922, in Ripley, Tenn., to the late William and Clara Midget Kellick. She was a homemaker and restaurant cook for Ramada Inn and at Lambert's Cafe for 25 years. She was a member of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church of Morehouse.

Survivors include two sons, Chester O'Neal Cossey of Bloomfield and Gary Cossey of Dexter; seven daughters, Carol McLard of Sikeston, Kathy Seals of Sikeston, Connie Hensley of Morehouse, Barbara Renfro of Bloomfield, Judy Killian of Benton, Sharon Aters of East Prairie, and Nona Odum of Kennett; two sisters, Pauline Bennett of East Prairie and Lena Cox of Memphis, Tenn.; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Harlan Cossey; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20. 2005, in the Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Vent of the First Oneness Pentecostal Church officiating.

Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield.
