Flora I. Frame Wiegand

Flora I. Frame Wiegand, a resident of 300 N. Woodson Drive, Raymore, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at the residence.

Mrs. Wiegand was born May 6, 1923, at Fort Sheridan Army Post in Illinois. Her parents were John Carroll and Sarah Frame. She attended grade school and high school at Dexter, graduating from high school in 1941. She worked as a telephone operator for three years in Dexter. She joined the U.S. Navy as a Wave at Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 20, 1944, and took basic training at the U.S. Naval Training School, Bronx, N.Y. from May 4 to June 13, 1944. She was then assigned to the U.S. Naval Training Center in Miami, Fla. She married Vincent A. Wiegand on Oct. 24, 1944. She was discharged from the U.S. Navy on Feb. 14, 1945, and lived in Griffin, Ind., from January to June of 1946. She followed her husband on assignments in the U.S. Army, which included Augsburg, Germany, and the Philippine Islands. She lived in Clovis, N.M., for 33 years from 1961 to 1994.

Survivors include her husband, Vincent A. Wiegand, of the home; one son, Robert M. Wiegand of Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Beverly A. Weber of Raymore; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers; and five sisters.

She was preceded in death by one son, Vincent C. Wiegand of Easley, S.C.; two brothers, Calvin and Charley Frame; and three sisters, Mabel Warner, Delores Nations, and Iolene Musgrave.

The funeral was at Mount Moriah Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Mo. 64131.

Interment was at the mausoleum at the same address.
