Vallie Ann Bollinger, 100, of Advance was born Jan. 11, 1905, at Toga, the daughter of the late William Franklin and Lucy Scott Carlton, and died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at the Advance Nursing Center.

She was a retired manager of the Advance Elementary School cafeteria and taught Sunday School at the Advance First Baptist Church where she was also a member.

Vallie and Jess Bollinger were united in marriage, and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1954.

Survivors include one daughter, Maxine Tippett of Advance; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also precede din death by a daughter; two grandsons; three sisters; and a brother.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral services were conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at the Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Rev. Eric Shrum officiating.

Interment followed in the Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
