James Haskell "Sandy" Brown, son of Eula Latham Brown of rural Dexter and the late Haskell Brown, was born on July 1, 1940, at Bernie and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Monday, Nov. 28, 2005, at the age of 65.
Mr. Brown was a former journeyman lineman for REA, a former long distance truck driver, attended the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, was baptized into the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at an early age, a veteran of the United States Navy and a resident of rural Dexter.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Lyn Dzvonar of Bloomfield; his mother, Eula Brown of rural Dexter; one sister, Judith Madge Steiner of Ladue; and one grandson, Garrett Tidey.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Watkins officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
