Loretta Downey

Loretta Downey was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Bay, Ark., and died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Central Gardens in Dexter.

She attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter and had also attended the Church on the Rock.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics.

Survivors include her daughter, Annitta Bass of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

On Sept. 5, 1967, she was united in marriage to John Downey, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1996.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church with Rev. Robert Bentley and Jimmy Kirby officiating.

Interment will follow in Dexter Cemetery.
