Lois Bowling, the daughter of the late George Wilburn, Sr., and Myrtle Ivy Vede Dell Rogers Haskins, was born in Dover, Ark., on Oct. 7, 1926, and died at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Dec. 11, 2005, at the age of 79.

Mrs. Bowling had lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She was a retired seamstress with Elder Manufacturing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

On Oct. 25, 1941, she was married to James D. Bowling in New Madrid.

Surviving are her husband, James Bowling of Bloomfield; one daughter, Lesa Uht of Bloomfield; two grandchildren; and one brother, George Wilburn Haskins, Jr. of Cape Girardeau.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
