She had lived in Dexter and Bloomfield all her life and was a resident of Bloomfield at this time. She was a member of the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church near Aquilla. She had worked as a door greeter at Wal-Mart for many years.
On Dec. 5, 1964, she was married to Ray McClain in O'Fallon.
Surviving are her husband Ray McClain of Bloomfield; one daughter, Lesley Barbour of St. Louis; two grandchildren; three brothers, Milford and Larry Cooper, both of Bloomfield, and Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance; three sisters, Linda Sue McRoy, Velma White, and Janet Abernathy, all of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Aquilla with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
