He was a resident of Wappapello but had lived in Sikeston and Morehouse for many years. He had worked as a welder until he was disabled. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 4066 in Wappapello.
On April 28, 1978, he was married to Terry Lynn Bean in Sikeston.
Surviving are his wife, Terry Lynn Griffin of Wappapello; one son, David Landon Griffin of Wappapello; two daughters, Terri Marie Duncan of Cape Girardeau and Michelle Lee Goodman of Scott City; his mother, Irene Murphy Scheider of Wappapello; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Morehouse with the Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter officiating.
Interment followed in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse in charge of arrangements.
