Pauline Sifford, a lifetime resident of Puxico, was born July 11, 1914, in Puxico and died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at Puxico at the age of 91.

She was united in marriage on Feb. 5, 1941, at Puxico to Bill Sifford. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1986.

She had graduated from Puxico High School in 1932. Mrs. Sifford had been a homemaker and a member of the Brown General Baptist Church in Puxico.

Survivors include her children, Frank Sifford of Bloomfield, Eddie Sifford of Puxico, Norma Sheets of Versailles, and Margaret Binford of Puxico; three sisters, Geneva Lacewell and Nettie Sue Ward, both of Puxico, and Emma Walton of Florissant; one brother, Hoover Steinmeier of Duncan, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Brown General Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Sifford and Rev. John Buttry officiating.

Interment will follow at Puxico City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Brown General Baptist Church Youth Group.
