Jesalin E. Davidson, 80, of Piedmont, died Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006, at the Clark's Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont. She was born Sept. 23, 1925, at Bernie and was raised in Stoddard County. She married Clarence Davidson on June 10, 1941, at Bernie, and he died in 1991. She owned and operated Davidson's Cafe in Pekin, Ill., for many years and had lived in Wayne County the past 20 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witness in Piedmont.
Survivors include three sons, Dewaine Davidson of Dexter, Russell Davidson of Madison, Ill., and Dale Davidson of Dalavan, Ill.; one brother, James Riddle of E. Peoria, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at the Kingdom Hall in Piedmont. Services are under the direction of Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont.
