Mary Colove

Mary Colove, daughter of the late Joe Whitaker and Hattie Jennings Whitaker, was born on Nov. 6, 1937, in Naylor and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, Jan. 17. 2006, at the age of 68.

Mrs. Colove was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, a self-employed accountant, and a resident of Dexter.

On July 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to William H. Colove at Whitewater, Calif. Mr. Colove survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, William Colove of Dexter, other survivors include two sons, Terry Colove of Dexter and Mike Colove of California; one daughter, Debbie Cogle of Dexter; one brother, Joe Whitaker of Dexter; one sister, Betty Stephens of Maryland; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held at the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, in the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter with Rev. Robert Bentley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Memorials may be made to Apostolic Kidz Choir.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
