Carolyn Long, daughter of Maxine Carver Duniphan and the late Clifford Duniphan, was born at Kewanee on March 17, 1944, and died at her home in Granite City, Ill., on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at the age of 61.

Mrs. Long had spent most of her life in the Granite City community. On May 1, 1975, at Mitchel, Ill., she was married to Robert Lee Long.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Long of the home in Granite City, Ill.; two sons, Darren Lowe and Dana Lowe, both of Granite City, Ill.; one daughter, Dena Marie Long of Granite City, Ill.; two grandsons, Justin Brumley and Ryan Brumley; two granddaughters, Kayla Lowe and Summer Long, all of Granite City, Ill.; her mother, Maxine Duniphan of Mitchel, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Duniphan; and one brother, Conrad Duniphan.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in Granite City, Ill. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, from 1-2 p.m. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Dan Sitze officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
