Deanne Disbro was born Wilma Christman on Jan. 2, 1925, in Dexter and died in her home at Naples, Fla., on Dec. 30, 2005, at the age of 80.
In spite of her battle with cancer, she remained optimistic, humorous and engaged with her many friends, family and interests. She was a member of the Acacia Country Club and active in the State Republican Party. More recently, she divided her time between her home in Hendersonville, N.C., as a member of the Champion Hills Country Club and her Naples, Fla., residence.
She was united in marriage to Robert Disbro. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Warren of Houston, Texas, and Edwards, Colo., and Judith Curico of Havertown, Pa.; one sister, Helen Ross of Essex; one brother, Jerry Christman of Dexter; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted at Naples, Fla., on Jan. 3, 2006.
