Edna Chloteel Middleton, daughter of the late Albert Creed and Mary Swinger Creed, was born on Sept. 24, 1924, at Essex and died in her residence at Dexter on Jan. 26, 2006, at the age of 81.

Mrs. Middleton was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Frisco, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Charles Middleton on Dec. 23, 1955, at Hernando, Miss. Mr. Middleton survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Ronnie Middleton of Dexter; one daughter, Charlene Laird of Dexter; two grandsons; two sisters, Thelma Lindsay of Dexter and Lucille Lawrence of Windfall, Ind.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Creed.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harold Gass officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
