Pearl Hessling

Pearl Hessling, daughter of the late Fred Lucy and Lena Allen Lucy, was born on Jan. 6, 1917, at Blytheville, Ark., and departed this life in Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Jan. 26, 2006, at the age of 89.

Mrs. Hessling was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Gene Hessling on Dec. 26, 1936, at New Madrid. Mr. Hessling survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include five sons, Ralph Hessling Jr., Ronnie Ray Hessling, Everett Hessling and Gary W. Hessling, all of Dexter and Gerald Hessling of Bloomfield; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Vonda Jean Hessling; by four brothers, Richard Lucy, Ted Lucy, Jack Lucy and Fred (Pat) Lucy; and one sister, Ruby Lucy Blankenship.

Visitation was held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 29, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
