Shirley Ann Hill

Shirley Ann Hill, daughter of the late Joseph B. Werner and Rita Daniels Werner, was born on Feb. 3, 1940, at Granite City, Ill., and died in the Cypress Point Healthcare facility in Dexter on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at the age of 65.

Ms. Hill was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter, a volunteer for V.N.A., a member of the Dexter Hospital Auxiliary, a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include one son, Orvil Dale Hill of Hoffman, Ill.; two daughters, Carolyn "Susie" Henson of Dexter and Lorena Rogers of Zalma; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, George Bernard Hatchard; and two sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, in the Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter with Rev. Karen Oldham and Rev. Don Henson officiating.

Interment followed in the Community Church of Christ Cemetery at Lowndes.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Brothers and Sisters Caring For Each Other In Christ's Love Mission Trip Fund, in care of the Faith Fellowship Church.
