Paul Perkins, son of the late David L. Perkins and Della Petty Perkins, was born on Sept. 24, 1911, at Farmersburg, Ind., and died in the Malden Nursing Center on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at the age of 94.

Mr. Perkins was an artist, a talented wood crafter of furniture, and a minister of music at the Bernie Christian Church where he was a member.

He was united in marriage to Roberta Poplin on Feb. 26, 1936, in Malden.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Perkins of the home in Bernie; one son, Guy Poplin Perkins of Bernie; one grandson; and three great-grandsons.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Orris Perkins, Kenneth Perkins, and Clarence Perkins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, in the Bernie Cemetery.

Interment will follow.
