Savannah Brooke Snider, daughter of Stan Snider and Sheila Fuwell, was born in Sikeston on Sept. 18, 1986, and died at the St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at the age of 19.
She had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter. She graduated from Dexter High School and had been a member of the Student Council, Rowdy Gals, and the FTA. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.
Surviving are her mother, Sheila Fuwell of Dexter; her father, Stan Snider of Dexter; three brothers, Jeremy Royce Snider of Dexter, Jake Cox of Dexter, and Matthew Snider of Sikeston; one sister, Kim Essner of Dexter; maternal grandparents, Bufford and Bernadette Fuwell of Bloomfield; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Gwen Snider of Dexter; maternal great-grandmother, Rose Lucas of Bloomfield; and paternal great-grandmother, Winnie Spickelmier of Essex.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at First Baptist Church in Dexter with the Rev. Mark Threadgill of Eureka and the Rev. Tim Russell of Dexter officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
