Bob Morgan, son of the late Ernest Morgan and Alma Robinson Morgan Dunn, was born on Feb. 23, 1932, in Acorn Ridge and died at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at the age of 73.
Mr. Morgan was a former plant manager for Florida Marine Tanks, Inc. in Dexter, a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the First Christian Church in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.
On May 28, 1953, he was united in marriage to Winona "Winnie" Ream in Aurora, Ill. Mrs. Morgan survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife, Winona "Winnie" Morgan, of Dexter, other survivors include two sons, Ronald Morgan of Dexter and Ralph Morgan of Bloomfield; two daughters, Raydean Hendrix of Dexter and Robin Rieffer of Bloomfield; three brothers, Johnny Morgan of Tucumcari, N.M., Densil Morgan of Dexter, and Larry Morgan of Punta Gorda, Fla.; three sisters, Emma Hyten of Cottontown, Tenn., Arlene Taylor of Broseley, and Barbara Bailey of Fall Creek, Wis.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wilburn Morgan, Ernest Morgan, Jr., and Arthur Morgan; also by two sisters, Lois Morgan Woolard and Velva Louise Morgan Bright.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexer with Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
