Thomas C. Cross, son of the late James Thomas and Viola Gann Cross, was born in Bernie on July 24, 1923, and died at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at the age of 82.

He resided in Bernie all his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bernie.

On June 5, 1959, he was married to Lois Kinkade at Bernie.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Cross of Bernie; two sons, Steve Cross of Bernie and Danny Ray Cross of Lexington, Ky.; one grandson; one brother, Pat Cross of Bernie; and one sister, Emma James of Bernie.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: Junior Ray Cross, Cletus Leon Cross and Avery Lee Cross.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Bill Garrett of Bernie officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
